Import Text

 

The File_Import Text menu function imports text files into an active StatsDirect report.

 

If you want to import a rich text file use the "Open File" function to read it directly into a StatsDirect report.

 

Remember that you can use the Windows clipboard to import and export text between applications. For example, select a block of text in a StatsDirect report by holding down the shift key and using the cursor keys. Copy this highlighted/blocked text to the clipboard by holding down the control (Ctrl) key and pressing the C key. Switch to a word processor such as Microsoft Word, hold down the control (Ctrl) key and press the V key to paste your selected text into the word processor's active document. You can also do this with StatsDirect graphics and applications that accept Windows metafiles.
